Main Body
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced that combined U.S. and Israeli military operations have inflicted severe damage on Iran’s active combat forces and its defense industrial base, including ballistic missile production facilities. Since the start of Operation Epic Fury on February 28, more than 50,000 service members have been involved in establishing control over air and sea domains while striking thousands of identified Iranian targets.
In the first ten days alone, over 15,000 targets were hit across Iran’s military infrastructure. These strikes have resulted in a sharp decline in hostile activities: missile launches dropped by about 90%, while one-way drone attacks decreased by roughly 95%. CENTCOM reported striking approximately 6,000 targets independently and damaging or destroying more than sixty Iranian ships along with thirty minelayers.
Joint Chiefs Chair General Dan Caine stated that Iran’s navy has been rendered combat ineffective but cautioned that risks to friendly forces and commercial shipping remain.
Additionally, homeland security measures included activation of the Army’s specialized units to protect U.S. territory amid ongoing operations. The campaign reflects a coordinated effort to dismantle Iran’s capacity to threaten regional stability through its military-industrial capabilities.
